2014 – 3rd Place, 100% aged Sheep Milk, American Cheese Society
2013 – 1st Place, Aged Sheep Milk, American Cheese Society
This is a wonderful, creamy semi-soft raw sheep cheese with whole peppercorns. After being aged for two to three months, Pepato has a outstanding texture with a slight saltiness and tangy citrus flavors that perfectly balances with the peppercorns. This tasty cheese is a great addition for a cheeseboard, or shaved on salad or pasta. It’s also quite scrumptious in ravioli or gnocchi.
Love a good wine with cheese? A good Pinot Noir brings out the best in Pepato.
This is truly an outstanding Swiss Raclette. So tasty and mild! It is a semi-soft cheese that has creamy and nutty flavors and it an excellent melting cheese. Enjoy it for your next fondue party or melted over potatoes or other vegetables.
Pairs nicely with Belgian beers, Cabernet Franc and white wines.
Oregonzola is an amazingly delicious gorgonzola-style cheese. It has won too many awards to mention, but to name a few: 2014 SOFI award finalisr, 2nd Place Blue Cheese in the 2008 World cheese awards, Dublin Ireland, 3rd Place Gorgonzola Style in the 2008 World Championship Cheese Contast, WI,USA, and the list goes on.
This gorgonzola style cheese was developed by Ignazio Vella in the late 1990s, Oregonzola, named by a daughter, is a nod to Rogue Creamery’s Italian heritage. The blue culture was brought from Italy and is the only cheese using it in the USA. It has a smooth texture and clearly defined blue veins similar to Gorgonzola. But, the bouquet of fruit, sweet cream, and tangy flavors set it apart as an American original. It is so yummy that it is hard not to want to just eat a chunk plain, but it is fabulous paired with prosciutto, figs, or pears, or spoon over warm polenta and top with toasted pine nuts – don’t forget to crumble it on a salad too. It just makes the salad.
SOFI award – Best Dairy Product in 2011 and 2013

Stilton Cheese, the King of Cheeses! Authentic Stilton made by a licensed and certified Stilton cheesemaker in Britain.
Made in Britian, revered in the UK and enjoyed the world over, it is a true English blue cheese with the perfect level of creaminess. This pasteurized cow’s milk English blue has bold flavors of chocolate, toffee, grass, heavy cream, and dried fruit meat; a creamy yet crumbly texture that melts in the mouth. Stilton cheese delivers a refined blue cheese flavor making it ideal for crumbling on salads, melting on a baked potato or as a dessert cheese alongside a glass of port or a deep, dark stout. Our best selling cheese by far; all hail the King!
Even if you aren’t an Anglophile you will enjoy this fine selection of the best of Britain Cheeses. The basket is filled to the brim with Britain’s crowning glory, Stilton Blue and four other sumptuous cheeses. Cotswold, with its delicious chive and onion flavors and Huntsman, a beautiful layered cheese are wonderful additions. Then to complete this perfect package, White Stilton with Cranberries and White Stilton with Lemon Zest, tasty dessert cheeses are included, along with classic oatcake biscuits and cheese knife .
Bringing you another wonderful white stilton – Mango and Ginger White Stilton. This stilton has sweet and refreshing mango pieces and spicy crystallised ginger that burst through White Stilton to give your taste buds a tasty treat. This stilton is a favorite among those that want a sweet, but not overly sweet flavor. Mango and Ginger White Stilton is a great choice to add variety to your cheese display or serve on ginger biscuits with crème fraiche for a quick and tasty dessert, and pair with a medium white wine. It also makes for a delicious mango and ginger cheesecake!
Crumbly fresh White Stilton made from locally-sourced milk is blended with the great taste of succulent cranberry for a rich, fruity flavor. This is an incredibly delicious, sweeter-type cheese dotted with crimson cranberries. Unlike it’s big brother, Stilton Blue Cheese, White Stilton does not have the blue veining. When combined with fruit, it becomes a fabulous dessert cheese. Serve with the 34 Degree Crackers for a very thin crisp or served with the Effie’s Biscuits for a simple, but divine after dinner course. This cheese is so veratile. It is absolutely dynamite made into a cheesecake or other yummy desserts too. Or just serve with a glass of Riesling. Serve on biscuits for a sweet taste sensation.
Huntsman is a combination of two of my most favorite cheeses. Layers of rich Double Gloucester (the same Cotswold Cheese is made from) and Long Clawson’s famous Blue Stilton come together to create a unique and exceptionally tasty cheese.
These two classic cheeses are both produced in the English countryside. Double Gloucester is a firm, creamy, yet tangy cheese while Stilton Blue Cheese is a blue-veined, strong, smooth and creamy cheese with a distinctive flavor. It gives a beautiful presentation on your cheese display and is a particularly yummy addition to any cracker or biscuit. It is often served as a “Ploughman’s lunch”, with pickles, inions and bread, or melted over your favorite steak. It is a MUST TRY!
Awesome cheese! This is a double Gloucester with chive and onion. It has a wonderful semi-firm, but creamy texture and the yummy flavor of chive and onion. A double Gloucester has been compared with the best Cheddar or Cheshire. I think it is better! First for the creaminess, second for the chive and onion. This is a pairing made in heaven. Enjoy it on a cracker or a burger. It is also terrific in mac ‘n cheese. Try with all your favorite recipes.
We had to try this new cheese just because of the name… and of course also because it has the honor of taking 2nd in its category at the 2013 ACS Competition. With our first bite we could see why it got such a fine award. It is AWESOME!
This is a mixed milk blue cheese, and hence the name. It is a blend of cow, sheep, and goat milk and it is fabulous, Rich, creamy, less crumbly for a blue than most, with a medium blue bite. This is the cheese for everyone. If you like blue cheeses, you would consider it a mild to medium blue. If you are new to the blue cheese world, this would be an outstanding cheese for you. Those on our taste panel that normally don't like cheese were even won over! It should be a definite on your cheese buying list.
One of our all time favorite cheeses. Beautifully fruity, sweet, and lightly tangy, Comte is famous for its notes of toasted hazelnuts, and its woodsy finish is reminiscent of brown bread. Makes a wonderful fondue, or serve as a table cheese for breakfast (or any time) with fresh fruit and a rustic, crusty loaf of bread.
Comte is one of the cheeses that has those tasty little crunchy crystals in it. These little flavor explosions are a welcome by-product of the cheese making process and are found in some of the more aged cheeses. The crunchy bits are actually crystallized clusters of amino acids called tyrosine. Mmm, tyrosine!
Franche-Comte, a dairy-rich region in France, uses 80% of its milk for cheese production, all from the red-and-white Montebeliard breed of cow. In the village of Jura, “frutieres” (small cheesemaking facilities) produce this well-loved raw cow’s milk cheese. This cheese is a incredible treat. One bite, and you will think you are in heaven!
This is an amazingly delicious award-winning cheese! It is a matured, gouda-style cheese made in the Netherlands, brought to us by Cypress Grove Chevre. Made from pasteurized goat’s milk, wheels are aged at least six months.
Midnight Moon is a warm, ivory colored cheese that is dense and smooth with a slight crunch of protein crystals that form naturally with aging – those protein crystals are just one of the things that make this cheese so incredibly yummy! You will enjoy flavors of butterscotch and browned butter with both savory notes and an slight sweetness.
This cheese pairs well with Wine or Beer. For beer, try a Belgian Dark, Stout or Trippel. Great wine pairings are: Zinfadel, Syrah, Sweet Sherry and Ice Wine.
Humboldt Fog has won so many awards it takes an entire separate listing to show them all but some real stand outs are the first and second place distinctives for several years from the American Cheese Society and the SOFI award. This is not only a beautiful cheese to display and admire, it is also a yummy creamy goat cheese. It has a subtle, tangy buttermilk and cream flavor with a distinctive layer of edible vegetable ash running through the center. The buttermilk flavor is complemented with floral notes, herbal overtones and a clean citrus finish. This cheese would be a beautiful centerpiece to any cheese display.
One of the best cheddars you will ever taste! Cabot Clothhbound is very handsome natural-rinded traditional cheddar, bandaged with muslin, and skillfully aged a minimum of 10 months in the Cellars of Jasper Hill. Cabot Clothbound has all the characteristic texture of English-style cheddar plus the sweet caramel and milky flavors that set it apart from other bandaged cheddars. The flavor profile is sweet, savory, nutty and tangy.
Cabot Clothbound Cheddar is one of the cheeses that have those tasty little crunchy crystals in it. These little flavor explosions are a welcome by-product of the cheese making process and are found in some of the more superior aged cheeses. The crunchy bits are actually crystallized clusters of amino acids call tyrosine. Boy, they are yummy!
Is this one of our taste panel’s perennial favorites!
Just pure, delicious goat’s milk chevre. Mild and creamy texture. Spreads nicely on crackers and biscuits.Pair it with Effie’s crackers or biscuits, dollop a bit of jalapeno jelly on top, and you have an attractive, spicy, and super tasty appetizer that everyone will gobble up in minutes.Another quick appetizer idea: start with a cracker or sourdough round, add a dollop of American Spoon’s Apple Onion Jam, top with a bit of chevre, broil the in oven for a few minutes (don’t let it get brown, just soft and very slightly golden), serve with a tiny drizzle of a mix of O Olive Honey Apple Vinegar and O Olive Ultra Evo Olive Oil- viola, a quick, tasty bite! The best part is, it only took you minutes to prepare!By the way, all rennet used by Cypress Grove is vegetarian friendly.

This is another one of Cypress Grove Chevre’s amazingly tasty chevre goat cheese. Sgt. Pepper is flavored with black pepper, dried sweet and spicy peppers, mild chili “threads,” garlic and spices.
